From the 25th -28th, warrior Mars squares off with power-hungry Pluto. Mars in Aries, the sign that it rules, can be quite fierce and it meets a formidable foe in Pluto in Capricorn as it fights to uphold the status quo. Under this influence the potential for violence or for other hazardous conditions can be tremendous, as tempers flare easily and people react badly when their desires are thwarted. This a battle between the maverick vs. the established order. Where you have early Aries in your natal chart is where you want to bravely forge ahead and where you have early Capricorn is where you want to resist change and maintain power. In this particular battle, Mars in Aries is the stronger opponent. He may not necessarily win, but he can certainly upset the order of things. This is a very dynamic time for Aries, Cancer, Libra, & Capricorn. Change will happen whether you want it to or not!
Fiery Mars joins unpredictable Uranus in Aries from the 21st - 23rd making for a highly explosive mix. This is a potentially hazardous time, as there could be danger from natural disasters, accidents, or mere human explosiveness. Aries are even more headstrong and reckless than usual. Libras would do well to avoid volatile people and situations altogether. Cancer could experience career chaos while Capricorn deals with domestic drama. For everyone, wherever you have 8 degrees of Aries in your natal chart, caution is advised.
Today Mars enters the sign it rules, Aries. It takes Mars approximately 2 years to travel through all 12 signs and we last saw Mars in April 2001. Mars is super powerful in this sign! This energy is dynamic, aggressive, and forceful, making for a warrior type of energy that allows us to overcome obstacles and to make speedy progress toward our goals. This is an especially empowering time for those with an Aries Sun, Moon, or Ascendant. Wherever you have Aries in your chart is where you can take bold action now. Because Mars in Aries can also bring a fair amount of aggression, caution is also advised in this area. Either by choice or by force, you are likely to experience a shake-up where you find Aries in your chart.
Tomorrow’s (12/13) New Moon in Sagittarius augurs well for wild, new beginnings! Wherever you have 22 degrees of Sagittarius in your natal chart is where you can strike out and make a bold start! This is a very fortunate time for Sagittarius. Aries and Leo make out pretty well under this New Moon, too. All of this enthusiasm and adventure may be a little bit too much for Gemini to take, especially if others are trying to force you to join in on the fun. Virgo and Pisces, too, may be annoyed. Don’t worry, Sag. It’s your party and you can get as wild as you want to!
Aries, Taurus, & Gemini, here’s what you can expect during this Mercury retrograde:
Aries: Hang on to your receipts and be sure to update your financial records, as there could be problems pertaining to loans, debts, taxes and any matters pertaining to other people’s money. Your partner’s financial situation may be particularly wacky now.
Taurus: Relations with partners, allies, and advisors may be a bit wonky. You’ll need to rewind and take a second look at certain matters before you can move forward with these individuals. Don’t be in such a hurry. This is a valuable opportunity to review and redo.
Gemini: Everyday stuff tends to break down when you need it most. Organization goes out the window. Use this period to get your day-to-day affairs in order. Focus on cleaning up clutter and finding more efficient ways to work. Fix whatever is broken and get rid of stuff that you don’t need.
Heads up Aries, Taurus, & Gemini. Here’s how Saturn in Scorpio over the next few years will affect your sign:
Aries: There are two phrases that will be particularly significant for you over the next 2 and half years: “Nothing is for free” and “I can’t get no satisfaction.” Any support that you seek from people or institutions comes laden with heavy rules and restrictions and you may decide that the cost is too high. Your spouse or business partner could experience a reduction in his or her income during this time.
Taurus: It’s time to get serious about relationships. You may sign on the dotted line with a romantic or business partner. If you’re ready to make a commitment, this is the time to do it. However, you should be aware that partnerships formed now are likely to be long-lasting, for better or for worse. Choose your commitments with care.
Gemini: You can expect an increase in your daily work load. More work equals more stress. Strive to find a balance between taking care of yourself and attending to the many tasks that you’ll need to juggle now. Saturn is here to teach about being discipline

And we’re back! Saturday’s Full Moon joins wild Uranus in war-ready Aries, amplifying the battle between Uranus and Pluto that has been creating tumult both on the world stage and in our personal lives all summer. Be warned that this is a potentially explosive time, as tempers ignite and people act before considering the consequences of their actions. Sensitive conversations and dangerous situations should be avoided. If you push, your opponent is likely to push back with much more force than you anticipate. This can be an especially volatile time for those born between March 23rd - 30th, June 24th - July 1st, September 26th - October 3rd, and December 24th - 31st.
Okay kids, it’s time to put on your big girl/big boy pants and deal with some hardcore reality. Through Thursday warmonger Mars will be clashing with taskmaster Saturn in peace-loving Libra. Translation - ‘No, we can’t all just get along’. Not when authority figures want to restrict your actions and mavericks want to recklessly break the rules. This can be not only stressful, but potentially hazardous. Those born late in Libra may experience serious internal unrest, while those late Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn may feel bullied by others. This is a good time for hard work, but it may be difficult to gauge your progress under this influence. Here’s your mantra for the week - “If you don’t start any trouble, there won’t be any trouble.” Well, one can hope….
Tomorrow’s (July 18th) New Moon in comfort-seeking Cancer receives a nasty blow from taskmaster Saturn, making it difficult to get your emotional needs met. That shoulder that you seek to cry on is already filled and someone just beat you to the last helping of your go-to comfort food. Does the tune, “I can’t get no satisfaction” ring a bell? It will if you’re an Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. It’s just a moment where things don’t feel good. Luckily, it passes quickly.
Today’s Full Moon in conservative Capricorn is joined with power-hungry Pluto creating an air of mania and obsession. Add volatile Uranus to the mix and the stage is set for battle. This Full Moon triggers the square between Uranus and Pluto that has been affecting us for the past month and will continue to generate conflict between the revolutionaries and the old guard through the next few months. You can expect this Full Moon to intensify conflicts on the world stage. The same can be said for your personal life. Where you find 12 degrees of Capricorn in your natal chart is where you will fight tooth and nail to maintain the status quo. However, forces beyond your control are likely to interfere with your plans. This can be an especially crazy time for those with the Sun or Ascendant in the middle of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra. Taurus, Virgo, & Capricorn can be especially tenacious now. Don’t expect them to give up or give in. Cancers should fly under the radar as best they can.
